A brand new McLaren MP4-12C has been recently crashed during a test drive after the owner came too close to a Mercedes-Benz vehicle.
We have always said here on inautonews.com that where ever there will be exotic cars there will also be exotic car crashes and the latest example of such an unfortunate incident is coming all the way from CA, where a McLaren MP4-12C has definitely seen better days. According to the guys at Wrecked Exotics, the British supercar in question has hit an S550 after coming too close to the vehicle. Happily no one was injured in the accident, except for the MP4-12C, which will need a makeover.
As a reminder, the 2012 McLaren MP4-12C is powered by a 3.8 liter twin-turbo V8 engine which is producing a total output of 592 horsepower at 7.000 rpm and it has a peak torque of 443 lb-ft available between 3.000 and 7.000 rpm. The engine is allowing the British supercar to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.3 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 205 mph. The Corsa tire option cuts down 0.2 seconds from the 0 to 62 mph acceleration time and the supercar can do a quarter mile in 10.9 seconds at 134 mph.
