The British based automaker McLaren is planning to introduce a brand new supercar, which will slot between the newly unveiled 650S and the hybrid hypercar P1.
With introducing the impressive P1 hybrid hypercar and the new 650S, in its two body styles, replacing the current MP4-12C and its drop-top brother, the 12C Spider, McLaren has even more plans for its future lineup, which will include yet another supercar. The announcement hasn’t been made official just yet, but according to a report published by Automotive New Europe, the model in question will slot in between the current 650S and the P1 hypercar.
Our source is also saying that we should expect the new McLaren production somewhere in 2016 and it should be getting a carbon fiber monocoque chassis and a revised version of the current 3.8 liter V8 twin turbo engine. The upcoming supercar is believed to be getting new suspension system, new steering, new brakes, a completely new interior design and an exterior which will somehow resemble its two new brothers, the P1 and the 650S. The cost of the new supercar will probably stand at approximately 400,000 GBP, or the equivalent of almost 500,000 euros. More details on the model remain unknown for the moment.
