A new rendering with the upcoming Mercedes-AMG C63 Coupe has recently hit the web and it is providing us with yet another look into the future body style of the performance vehicle.
Ever since the new generation of the Mercedes-AMG C63 Sedan has been officially unveiled not too long ago, the question on everyone lips was aimed towards its two-door brother, the C63 Coupe. Despite the German based automaker is kind of refusing to go into specifics on this model, one thing is for sure, it will definitely hit the market, we just don’t know when.
The Mercedes-AMG C63 Coupe will become a rival for models such as the BMW M4, the Lexus RC F Coupe or the Audi RS5 and it should be introduced sometimes next year, probably during the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, in March. The performance coupe will be coming with a sleeker profile, larger doors and several other tweaks to put some distance between it and its four-door brother.
As far as the engine goes, this will be using a 4.0 liter twin turbo V8 unit, which has been first introduced on the AMG GT and then on the C63 S Sedan. The unit is capable of producing 510 HP (375 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque, which is enough to allow the four-door variant to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.1 seconds and to reach an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph).
