The brand new MINI Cooper JCW has been spied recently as the model in question will be unveiled at the end of this year or in early 2015.
Our spy photographers have managed to capture the brand new MINI Cooper JCW (John Cooper Works) on camera while it was being tested out. The model in question has been previewed earlier this year by a concept car and the third generation of the vehicle is looking rather refreshed. We are looking at the actual production version in the images posted below so don’t act too surprised if you will see it identical to the one pictured here once it will be officially unveiled.
The 2015 MINI Cooper JCW has all the typical styling cues of a hot hatch, including the additional air intakes added to the front bumper, the rear section inspired by the new Cooper S, the uprated braking system and some other tweaks which will be seen in its cabin too. The hot hatch will be powered by the newest 2.0 liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine which, in the Cooper S, is producing 189 HP, but in the JCW model it could go up to 200 HP. The unit will be connected to a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission, with paddle shifters, and power will be sent to the front-wheel drive.
