New Mitsubishi model teased, could be the facelifted Outlander image

Mitsubishi has released a teaser image with a new model which will be officially presented to the public in early next month, during the 2015 New York Auto Show.

Mitsubishi is starting to become more active in the industry but even if it cannot compare itself to other car manufacturers, it is still keeping us interested in its new models. The image posted above has been released by the carmaker recently and it is actually a “mysterious model” but rumor has it that this might be a facelifted version of the Outlander. The vehicle should be taking its styling cues from the Outlander PHEV Concept-S and we are expecting the classic front and rear modifications, with updated lighting units, new bumpers and probably a reworked grille, along with new sets of wheels.

The cabin of the 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander will remain pretty much the same but it will benefit from better materials. The third generation of the Mitsubishi Outlander has been in production since 2012 and it is being put together in Japan and in Russia, riding on the Mitsubishi GS platform. The model in question is coming with an engine lineup that includes no less than six units, connected to a 5-speed manual, a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed automatic or a CVT. The SUV stands at 4,655 mm in length, 1,800 mm in width and, 1680 mm in height. The facelifted version of the Outlander PHEV will also be introduced at the same 2015 New York Auto Show. These two models will debut on the 2nd of April.
