Nissan has released the first ever teaser image with a new crossover concept which will be debuting at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, in just a few days.
Nissan is well-known for making some of the best crossovers and SUVs out there and it has even started its very own segment, the sub-compact one for crossovers, with the Juke. But the Nissan Juke is getting old at this point and most carmakers are already offering new and improved vehicles in the B-segment for crossovers so chances are we will see a second generation of the Juke in the near future.
With the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show coming in pretty fast, Nissan couldn’t stay aside from the event and the teaser image posted above is believed to offer a preview of the second generation of the Juke. The model in question will be getting a completely new design which will be bringing its exterior looks closer to its larger brothers, the Qashqai and the Juke. We are expecting a sharp design with boomerang shaped LED DRLs and a slightly larger body.
The vehicle should also be getting a completely new platform to ride on, shared with Renault, along with a new engine lineup and, probably, all-wheel drive offered on other versions besides the Nismo. As far as the units go, we are expecting the 1.2 liter TCe, along with probably the 0.9 liter TCe while the 1.5 liter dCi should be maintained and joined by the 1.6 liter dCi. Additional details on the new Nissan Juke generation are limited at this point but the concept version will be debuting next week, in Frankfurt.
