The new generation of the Opel Astra sedan has been recently launched in Romania where the model has a starting price set at 15,850 euros, VAT included.
After it was officially presented to the public during this year’s Moscow Motor Show, the new generation of the Opel Astra sedan is being placed into the spotlights once more, this time with the German based automaker announcing its launch in Romania. Opel will keep selling both the new and the current generations of the Astra sedan and the outgoing one will be sold as the Astra Classic III.
The 2013 Opel Astra sedan is coming with a choice of seven engines in Romania, four petrol, ranging between 100 horsepower to 180 horsepower, and three turbo diesels, ranging from 95 horsepower to 130 horsepower. Opel isn’t bringing the new 2-liter CDTI bi-turbo diesel engine in Romania just yet, which is the newest unit the make its way under the hood of the 2013 Astra, with its 195 horsepower.
The new generation of the Opel Astra is 4,658 mm ling, 1,814 mm wide and 1,476 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,685 mm. The boot cargo space is 460 liters (90L more than the five-door hatch) but, with the rear seats folded (60:40), the volume can increase up to 1,010 liters.
