New Perodua Alza SR launched in Malaysia

Perodua has recently launched the new Alza SR in Malaysia, and the people carrier has a starting price of RM53.013 on-the-road, with local insurance.

According to the car manufacturer, the new Perodua Alza SR is available in two trim levels, the 1.5 BX Manual, which has been priced at RM53.013, and the 1.5 BZ Auto, with a starting price of RM56.513. The Alza is coming in three exterior colors, Glittering Silver, Ivory White and Mystical Purple. Perodua is aiming to sell 400 units of the new Alza SR every month.

“The introduction of the Alza SR variant will make it even more affordable for Malaysian consumers looking to upgrade to a more spacious vehicle. Our customers like the versatility and functionality that Alza offers and do not mind having less features available compared with the standard and other variants. However, it does not mean we have compromised on the safety and aesthetics of the Alza SR, said Perodua MD DAtuk Aminar Rashid Salleh.

Perodua says that the Alza SR is coming with UV protected glass on the windscreen only, manually operated exterior mirrors and some other interesting things. However, features like ABS, EBD, BA, airbags or fog lamps aren’t available on the model, and also no rear wiper is available. Under the hood there is no change compared to the previous model and this is actually cheaper than its predecessor by about RM2.500.
