The French based automaker Peugeot has recently announced the production start of the new 308 generation.
After it was officially unveiled a couple of months ago, the new generation of the Peugeot 308 is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the carmaker announcing its production start. According to the car manufacturer, the 2014 Peugeot 308 should represent a technologic leap in every chapter compared to the outgoing version, which will make it more competitive with models like the VW Golf, the Ford Focus, the Renault Megane or the Opel Astra. The new Peugeot 308 generation is said to be as reliable as a Golf 7.
As a quick reminder, the 2014 Peugeot 308 will become available in four trim levels, Access, Active, Allure and Feline, and the cheapest model will set you back for 17,800 euros. Power to this version will be provided by a 1.2 liter VTi engine, producing 82 HP (60 kW). For 21,250 euros, the 1.6 liter HDi diesel, with its 92 HP (70 kW), will become available. Add another 1,000 euros and you will get the 1.6 liter THP with 125 HP. The Peugeot 308 Feline will go on sale from 27,500 euros.
