The French based automaker Renault has recently released a first teaser image with a B segment crossover which will debut during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show.
The model in question is based on the Nissan Juke platform and it will be signed by Renault. The crossover, which doesn’t have an official name just yet, has been inspired, mostly, by the futuristic Captur concept, which was unveiled back in 2011. The Renault crossover in question will be a bigger brother of the Clio but it will be based on the same platform used on the Nissan Juke and its exterior design will be heavily influenced by the Captur concept, unveiled in Geneva back in 2011.
The new Renault crossover has been codenamed the J87 and it’s Renault’s attempt to get into a segment where Opel has entered recently with the Mokka, Ford with the EcoSport, Chevrolet with the Trax and Peugeot with the 2008. The new Renault crossover, the J87, will only get front-wheel drive versions, unlike the Nissan Juke which is offering an all-wheel drive variant too. Additional details on the new Renault crossover will be announced during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, in March.
