New Suzuki SX4 to boost company’s sales image

The new generation of the Suzuki SX4 is expected to boost the company’s sales thanks to its larger size, new technologies and new rivals, such as the Nissan Qashqai.

The 2014 Suzuki SX4 is one of the most important models in the company’s lineup and this was recently highlighted by the automaker’s Europe chief, Takanori Suzuki, who said that the new SX4 will outsell the current generation by more.

“We have never had before a car like this, especially with its rear luggage space of 430 liters, which is among the best in its class”, said Takanori Suzuki, talking about the outgoing version’s 270 liters.

The new generation of the Suzuki SX4 has been officially presented to the public during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show in a premiere, a couple of weeks ago. The model is 4,300 mm long, 1,765 mm wide and 1,570 mm tall (17-inch wheels), compared to the size of the outgoing version of 4,135 mm in length, 1,755 mm in width and 1,565 mm in height, riding on a 2,500 mm wheelbase. Power is being provided by a 1.6 liter diesel and by a 1.6 liter petrol unit, mated to a six-speed manual transmission or to a CVT.
