The German car manufacturer Volkswagen will introduce a new diesel engine for its Sharan MPV model.
Future customers of the Sharan will be able to choose the new 2.0 litre 4-cylinder diesel engine, vialis 40mg which produces 115 horsepower and meets the Euro 5 emissions standard.
The new TDI engine will develop 280 Nm between 1.750 and 2.750 rpm and it will burn around 5.5 litres of fuel for 100 in a combined cycle.
Four other engines are available for the second generation of the Sharan which was presented last year at the Geneva Auto Show.
Besides the new 2.0 TDI, customers can choose between two TSI petrol engines, which produce 150 and 200 HP, and another TDI unit in two versions, 140 and 170 HP.
Along with the wide engine range, the MPV can also be fitted with the new DSG double clutch gearbox and the 4Motion all-wheel drive.
