The Japanese based automaker Toyota has recently launched the new Camry in India where the luxury sedan has a base price set at Rs 23.8 lakh.
According to the Japanese based car manufacturer, the new Toyota Camry is retaining almost the same dimensions as the previous generation of the model but, even so, thanks to its designers, the luxury sedan is looking bigger and more impressive. Toyota is saying that over 90 percent of the parts in the new Camry have been reworked but if you live in India, own a Camry and think of changing it to the new one, don’t, because the platform used is the same.
The new Toyota Camry is now getting a more refined engine, in the shape of the 2.5 liter VVT-i petrol burner, which is developing a total output of 178 BHP and it’s mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. Toyota says that the cabin is now getting fully electrically adjustable front seats and back support for the rear seats. When compared to its competitors, the new Toyota Camry is the most expensive (Rs 23.8 lakh), while the Hyundai Sonata is priced at Rs 18.53 lakh and the Honda Accord costs Rs 20.02 lakh.
