New Toyota Crown makes video debut

The Japanese based automaker Toyota has released the first videos with the 2013 Crown models, which have recently went on sale on the local auto market.

After the car manufacturer has announced the launch of the 2013 Toyota Crown models in Japan, the vehicles are being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the company releasing the first official videos. The 2013 Toyota Crown is based on the revised version of the S-series platform and this is actually the 14th generation of the model. The new Crown will enter production in Toyota City, Japan, and it will go on sale on the company’s local auto market soon.

The new Toyota Crown Royal and Crown Athlete are coming with a choice of three engines, the 2.5 liter V6 petrol, generating a total output of 200 HP and 243 Nm of torque (179 lb-ft), sending power to the rear wheels or to the all-wheel drive system through a six-speed automatic transmission, the four-cylinder 2.5 liter Atkinson cycle mated to an electric motor and producing 176 HP and 221 Nm of torque (163 lb-ft) and the top of the line 3.5 liter V6 petrol with its 311 HP and 377 Nm, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
