The new generation of the Vauxhall Astra is getting ready to arrive in the UK showrooms and to be offered for sale soon.
According to the car manufacturer, the model in question will be hitting the company’s showrooms in October and it will have a starting price of 15, 295 GBP, on the road. The vehicle can be ordered with the AGR front seats, which have massage and ventilation functions and seat-width settings. The model is also available with a range of new powertrains in different outputs. These include the 1.4 liter three turbocharged petrol burners, offered in the entry-level version, along with a sub-100 g/km CO2 3-cylinder 1.0 liter unit.
Vauxhall is also offering the 1.6 liter engine as well on the new generation of the Astra, along with the new 1.4 liter EcoTec turbocharged, which is providing as much as 250 Nm of torque. There is also a new 1.6 liter “Whisper” diesel engine while the 2.0 liter unit will not become available at the time of the vehicle’s launch. This is going to be offered in three outputs, ranging between 108 HP and 158 HP. Vauxhall also says that the most economical unit is an ecoFLEX returning 91.2 mpg and emitting 82 g/km of CO2. Some of the goodies available for the compact car include the OnStar road assistance connectivity, the 4G mobile data hotspot, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, Lane Keep Assist, Advanced Park Assist, Forward Collision Alert, auto braking and so on. Standard items include the LED DRLs, 16-inch alloy wheels cruise control, air conditioning, four electric windows, 7-inch infotainment with IntelliLink, Bluetooth and so on.
