The Swedish based automaker Volvo has recently announced its plans to officially introduce a brand new concept car next month, during the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, in a premiere.
With the 2014th edition of the Geneva Motor Show coming in pretty fast, most carmakers are getting ready for the event and one of these companies is Volvo, which has recently announced a brand new concept car. Volvo will be showcasing the third and final concept part of the series which included the Concept Coupe, unveiled in Frankfurt in 2013, and the Concept XC Coupe, seen at NAIAS, in January.
“The new concept car will be the stand centre-piece, along with the Concept Coupe and Concept XC Coupe, and will be complimented by the rest of the Volvo range and showcase of the Drive-E engines, the first of which, the diesel D4, has already been seen and driven in a number of Volvo models in the UK”, said the carmaker in its official press release.
This will probably be a more realistic concept than its brothers and it will be offering a preview of the next XC90 generation. The new Volvo XC90 is said to weigh 150 kg less than the outgoing version and to get “goodies” such as the Adaptive Cruise Control with steer assist, Pedestrian Detection in darkness, Road Edge, Barrier Detection with steer assist and others. The SUV will be officially unveiled this year.
