Volkswagen has recently announced the official launch of the brand new Golf BlueMotion in the United Kingdom, where the model has been priced from 20, 335 GBP.
The new Volkswagen Golf BlueMotion is coming with a more aerodynamic body, with a masked front grille, with partially closed air inlet screens, with a roof spoiler, with later air guide elements on the rear window, with an optimized cooling system flow, with C-pillar spoiler and with some special underfloor panels. The model is also fitted with the stop/start technology and with the battery regeneration system and it has a longer gear ratios transmission and low-rolling resistance tires, which are contributing to lower fuel consumption.
The most important part of the VW Golf BlueMotion is found under its hood, where the 1.6 liter four-cylinder TDI (turbo diesel) common-rail EA288 engine is resting. The unit is producing a total output of 110 HP (81 kW) and it has a peak torque of 250 Nm (184 lb-ft), available between 1,500 and 3,000 rpm. The average fuel consumption stands at 3.2L / 100 km (88.3 mpg UK / 73.5 mpg US). The 50-liter fuel tank is providing it with a total range of 1,561 km (970 miles). The CO2 emissions stop at 85 g/km. Prices for the three-door Golf BlueMotion start at 20,335 GBP in the UK and the five-door costs at least 20,990 GBP.
