Volkswagen has recently announced the official starting price of the Golf 7 GTD in the United Kingdom, which has been set at 25,285 GBP, for the cheapest version.
After it was officially presented to the public during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, in a world premiere, the brand new Volkswagen Golf GTD is ending up in our news once again, this time with the carmaker launching it in the United Kingdom. According to the car manufacturer, the new VW Golf GTD is now available for order in the UK from 25,285 GBP, for the three-door manual version, but for the five-door DSG you will have to pay 27,355 GBP.
A lot of money for a Golf, but this isn’t your regular Golf because for the money you get the chassis from the GTI, along with a 2.0 liter TDI engine, which is good for 182 BHP and 380 Nm of torque. The model can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.5 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 142 mph. The diesel hot hatch will return 67.3 mpg (UK) and it will emit just 109 g/km of CO2 in the manual transmission version and 62.8 mpg and 119 g/km of CO2 in the DSG variant.
