The new generation of the Hyundai Santa Fe has been recently revealed at the 2012 New York Auto Show, where the car manufacturer has also released more details on it.
According to the South Korean based automaker, the new Hyundai Santa Fe is longer, wider and lower than the previous version and the model will be offering more legroom on the first and second row of seats. The boot space in the new Hyundai Santa Fe has also increased but we don’t have any official numbers just yet. Hyundai says that a seven seat version will also be offered and this will come with a longer wheelbase, but this isn’t the only surprise that the company has for us, as a six-seat version will make its way onto the market, with a middle row of two “captain’s chairs”.
Hyundai says that the five-seat version of the new Santa Fe will be renamed as the Santa Fe Sport in the United States. The all-new Hyundai Santa Fe has improved aerodynamic, LED lights and some other interesting stuff which we will talk about close to the model’s launch. The 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe is expected to pack a 2.4 liter engine, a 3.3 liter V6 petrol unit, a 2.0 liter diesel and a 2.2 liter, but more details about these powertrains will be announced at a later time.
