The Japanese based automaker Toyota has recently pulled off the wraps of the 2013 Avalon at the 2012 New York Auto Show.

According to the car manufacturer, the new Toyota Avalon has been scheduled to go on sale later this year and the model is slightly smaller than its predecessor, coming with a redesigned front fascia with HID headlights, a sporty styling, massive air intake, wider grille, integrated trunk spoiler, LED taillights, dual exhaust system and 17 or 18-inch alloy wheels. The cabin has been fitted with metallic accents, wood trim, leather seats, a JBL audio system, ambient lighting and the Entune infotainment system.

“Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A. revealed the all-new 2013 Avalon premium mid-size sedan today at the 2012 New York International Auto Show. The new Avalon is re-conceived for the premium mid-size sedan segment with a progressive and emotionally styled exterior design”, as the automaker says in its official press release.

The 2013 Toyota Avalon is fitted with some safety features such as the Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), ABS (Antilock braking system), Brake Assist (BA), Traction Control (TC), Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) and the Smart Stop Technology brake-override system. There is no official word on the engine lineup or price list but these “details” will be announced later this year, close to the model’s launch.
