The 2014 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 has been officially presented to the public during the 2013 New York Auto Show, in a premiere.
Chevy says that the 2014 Camaro Z/28 is a track car which is getting an aerodynamic body kit made out of the extended side skirts, the flared fenders, the front splitter, rear diffuser, prominent spoiler, underbody paneling and more. The model is also getting the four-tailpipe exhaust system and 19-inch alloy wheels wrapped in Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tires. Changes in the cabin include the Recaro sport seats, flat-bottom steering wheel and some other tweaks.
Power to the 2014 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 is being provided by a 7.0 liter LS7 V8 engine, which is producing a total output of “at least” 500 BHP (373 kW) and 637 Nm of torque (470 lb-ft), as the carmaker is saying. The unit is mated to a six-speed Tremec transmission. Stopping is provided by Brembo, with ceramic brakes. The 2014 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 will become available at dealerships across the country later on this year and it should go on sale next spring. Additional details on the model remain unknown for the moment and will be announced close to its launch.
