Chevy has recently brought the brand new 2014 Corvette Stingray Convertible to the 2013 New York Auto Show, for a U.S. premiere.
After seeing it for the first time just a few weeks ago, during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible has been recently brought to the 2013 New York Auto Show too.
“We wanted the driving experience of the Corvette to live up to the performance expectations that come with the ‘Stingray’ name. Because it was designed from the beginning as an open-top car, the Corvette Stingray delivers an exhilarating, connected driving experience – no matter what configuration you choose”, said the Corvette chief engineer, Tadge Juechter.
The brand new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible is coming with aluminum and carbon fiber trim, Nappa leather, soft touch materials, two eight-inch touch screen controls and more. Power to the sports car is being provided by a 6.2 liter V8 engine, the same one used on the Coupe, which is producing a total output of 450 HP and it has a peak torque of 450 lb-ft (609 Nm). The unit can be mated to an optional eight-speed automatic transmission or to a seven-speed manual. The Coupe can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in less than 4 seconds. No performance details have been announced for the Convertible just yet.
