New York Auto Show: 2014 Kia Optima image

The South Korean based automaker Kia has unveiled the 2014 Optima during the 2013 New York Auto Show.

The facelifted 2014 Kia Optima is now coming with a modified front fascia and rear end, updated diffuser and trunk lid, LED positioning and fog lights, LED taillights and some other small tweaks. The cabin of the model can get the new 4.3-inch instrument cluster or the optional 8-inch high-res navigation/telematics screen, the Infinity sound system, SiriusXM Traffic 4 with support, HD Radio, UVO eServices, Satellite Radio and more. The model is also getting Blind Spot Detection, rear parking sensors, rear cross-traffic alert, solar glass, illuminated front cup holders, leather seats, 17-inch wheels and more.

The 2014 Kia Optima SX is getting aero wiper blades and lower bumpers and side sills, while the top of the line SX-T has gained HID headlights with auto leveling, LED fog lights, red brake calipers, electronic parking brake, red brake calipers, 18-inch alloy wheels and Nappa leather. Power to the LX, EX and SX is being provided by a 2.4 liter GDI engine, while the SX-T is getting a 2.0 liter GDI turbocharged unit under its hood. Both engines are mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.
