The 2014 Toyota Highlander has been officially presented to the public, in a premiere, during the 2013 New York Auto Show.
Following its teaser images released these past few weeks, the 2014 Toyota Highlander is finally here and the model has been officially unveiled during the 2013 New York Auto Show. The upgraded Toyota Highlander is now coming with a massive trapezoidal grille, with bulging fenders, wraparound taillights, tailgate mounted spoiler and a choice of 18- or 19-inch alloy wheels. The interior design of the model is inspired from the one of the RAV4 and it includes satin accents, faux wood trim, Multi-Info display, Entune infotaiment system, perforated leather seats, rear-seat entertainment, JBL audio and more.
The cabin noise has been minimized thanks to the acoustic windshield, hydraulic engine mounts and additional sound deadening material. Power to the 2014 Toyota Highlander is being provided by a 2.7 liter four-cylinder engine, by a 3.5 liter V6 or by a 3.5 liter hybridized V6. No performance details have been released just yet, but the unit can be mated to a CVT (for the hybrid) or to a six-speed automatic. The model will make its way into dealerships early next year. More details about it will be announced close to its launch.
