The US automaker has recently revealed in front of the worldwide audience of the New York International Auto Show the 2017 Grand Cherokee Trailhawk and Summit.
The 2017 Grand Cherokee Trailhawk is used to increase the ruggedness of the Grand Cherokee and the full size SUV packs a different front fascia with the seven-slot grille that is snatched from the 2016 Grand Cherokee 75th Anniversary Edition. Just like any other Jeep Trailhawk version, capsule the Grand Cherokee features red front and rear tow hooks and future owners will also be able to select between standard 18-inch wheels or the optional 20-inch set with Goodyear Adventure off-road tires featuring Kevlar reinforcement. The cabin of the model boasts a custom black theme with leather and suede for the sporty seats. Red contrast stitching and brushed piano black appliqués and a gun-metal look for all of the painted interior bits and pieces complement the atmosphere. The model also packs a standard 8.4-inch Uconnect infotainment system with new screens for off-road settings and information. The Trailhawk boasts in the latter department the Quadra-Drive II 4×4 system with an electronic limited-slip differential and a special version of the Quadra-Lift air suspension.
The 2017 Grand Cherokee Summit goes for the luxurious appearance, with new 20-inch polished wheels, LED fog lamps, and a retuned front end. Inside there’s full Laguna leather interior in Indigo and Ski Gray along with three other color finishes. The dashboard is clad in Nappa leather and there’s also a standard 19-inch speaker, 825-watt Harman Kardon sound system featuring three subwoofers. The same Quadra-Drive II 4×4 system and other off-road bells and whistles as seen in the Trailhawk are also present. The Trailhawk and Summit models are scheduled to reach showrooms in America towards the end of the summer.
