The second largest Japanese automaker has decided to toy a little with our imagination by presenting this teaser picture with the refreshed GT-R sports car that is scheduled to be introduced at the upcoming New York Auto Show.
The US automotive event schedule is quickly marking the date of the 2016 New York Auto Show and numerous automakers are now sharing information, teasers and hints about their upcoming introductions. Nissan has decided to join the party and has released a new teaser image, which showcases the back side of the GT-R. The Japanese company is most likely going to prepare a semi-facelift for the model, with the 2017 model year to feature very subtle design tweaks and the interior packing the latest upgrade of the company’s infotainment system. The New York International Auto Show is scheduled to kick off next week from March 25, with the press preview days on March 23 and 24, so more information will be available then.
That’s when we’ll also find out if the latest reports ring true, after the rumor mill claiming the 2017 GT-R would also feature technical upgrades, including a small power bump. We shouldn’t take these reports for granted though, as the factory floor already delivers the 3.8-liter biturbo V6 engine with 545 horsepower (401 kilowatts) and 460 pound-feet (623 Newton meters) of torque, which is very close to its full potential.
