Subaru has recently pulled the wraps off the brand new XV Crosstrek Hybrid, during the 2013 New York Auto Show, in a world premiere.
After announcing the debut of the Subaru XV Crosstrek Hybrid to the 2013 New York Auto Show just a few days ago, time has come for the carmaker to officially pull the wraps off its body, during the North American automotive event. The model in question can be easily distinguished thanks to the active shutter grille, the optional Plasma Green Pearl exterior finish, exclusive to the hybrid, or by the unique alloy wheels.
Power to the Subaru XV Crosstrek Hybrid is being provided by a 2.0 liter boxer engine, which is good for 148 BHP (110 kW) and 196 Nm of torque (145 lb-ft), mated to an electric motor, generating 13 BHP (10 kW) and 65 Nm of torque (48 lb-ft). Power is being sent to the wheels through a CVT. The fuel consumption stands at 28 / 34 / 31 in city / highway / combined (US). The Subaru XV Crosstrek Hybrid will arrive at dealerships across the United States in late 2013 and its pricing details will be announced close to its launch.
