The German based automaker BMW has just pulled the wraps off the facelifted X1 during the 2012 New York Auto Show.
After the BMW X1 facelift has leaked ahead of its official debut at the 2012 New York Auto Show, the small crossover is once again highlighted during the over-seas automotive event, where the car manufacturer has officially presented it to the public. The BMW X1 facelift is coming with a redesigned front bumper with silver accents, a new internal design for the headlights, redesigned side sills, new side mirrors, new rear bumper and new taillights.
The cabin of the facelifted BMW X1 hasn’t been left aside either, but even so, changes to the interior are minor and can be found on the dash panel trim and on the lower center console, along with gloss-black surrounds for the air vents, a new steering wheel and metal trim round the gearlever. The BMW X1 showcar was a 28i model, but even so, the company says that the 180kW and 350Nm four-cylinder turbo, which can already be seen on models like the 3-Series F30 or Z4, is also under consideration. The automaker is hoping that the facelifted X1 can put the model against its Audi Q3 competition and boost the sales this year.
