Nissan’s luxury brand Infiniti has recently pulled the wraps off the new LE all-electric concept during the 2012 New York Auto Show.
After starting its life as just a rumor, with not even a sketch released by the Japanese based automaker, the company’s latest creation is finally here and it looks nothing like the EMERG-E Concept car which has made its presence during several automotive event, including the one in Geneva last month. As you can see from the images posted below this article, the new Infiniti LE all-electric concept is a four-door sedan but the automaker says that it’s a rebadged version of the popular Leaf electric vehicle.
According to the Japanese based car manufacturer, the Infiniti LE all-electric concept car is previewing a model which will hit the production line soon as a new choice to the current Leaf, but there are no official details on this just yet. The electric motor in the Nissan Leaf is developing a total output of 108 horsepower and a peak torque of 280 Nm (210 lb-ft), but that might actually be a little low for the premium vehicle. Even if the Infiniti LE all-electric concept was officially presented to the public in New York recently, the automaker is still keeping it in the shadows and refusing to reveal more details on it for the moment.
