The next generation of the Audi Q7 has been recently caught on camera by our spy photographers while it was being tested on the open road, in Germany.
The development of a new generation of the Audi Q7 is no longer a surprise as the model was rumored to give birth to the Bentley SUV and the Lamborghini Urus, if the two vehicles will eventually get the green lights for production, so this is actually one important vehicle for the Volkswagen Group, especially considering the fact that it will have some features shared with the upcoming Porsche Cayenne generation and also with the VW Touareg.
The 2015 Audi Q7 will receive beefier fenders, a shorter front overhang and some other tweaks which will make it look more like new models in the company’s lineup. Just like the Range Rover’s new generation, the upcoming Audi Q7 is believed to lose some significant weight, approximately 400 kg. As far as the engine lineup goes, the 2015 Audi Q7 is said to receive some upgraded versions of the current petrol and diesel V6 and V8 units. Additional details on the new generation of the Audi Q7 are limited for the moment and will be announced sometimes next year, probably during a major automotive event.
