Next-gen BMW 5-Series spied for the first time ever image

The next generation of the BMW 5-Series has been caught on camera in a premiere by our spy photographers as it has been testing recently on the road.

Despite not being that old, the current generation of the 5-Series will be replaced in the near future with a new model as our spy photographers have recently found out by catching it on camera, for the very first time. If this is making you happy and you can’t wait for the model to be introduced, you will be in for quite some wait because the vehicle will not be revealed before 2016, meaning that it will be offered as a 2017 model year.

Keep in mind that the one pictured below is just a test mule and that the final looks of the model may turn out to be quite different, but in terms of design, the new 5-Series generation will be influenced by the BMW Vision Connected Drive concept. The 2017 BMW 5-Series will be serving as a basis for the world first high-efficiency model, powered by the 3-cylinder diesel engine. More details on the new-gen version are limited at this time and will probably not be announced until it will be officially unveiled.
