The next generation of the Chevrolet Cruze will hit the market in 2014 as a 2015 model year and the vehicle will get updated interior and exterior styling and a better fuel economy.
According to the North American based automaker Chevrolet, the future generation of the Cruze will roll out the assembly line in 2014 and it will go on sale in the same year, as a 2015 model year. The upcoming Chevy Cruze will get new exterior and interior styling, a better fuel economy and more storage space, as the car manufacturer has recently announced in a statement.
“Production timing of the next-generation Cruze will be announced later”, as General Motors said in a statement.
“It’s no surprise that GM will build the next-generation Chevrolet Cruze at the Lordstown, Ohio, plant. The plant, once one with a notoriously contentious labor-management relationship, has done an outstanding job with the Cruze”, said the Edmunds.com senior analyst, Michelle Krebs.
The Chevrolet Cruze is the fourth best-selling vehicle in the compact segment in 2012 and the model is only surpassed by the Ford Focus, the Honda Civic and the Toyota Corolla. The 2013 model year Chevy Cruze, equipped with the 1.4 liter four-cylinder engine and a six-speed manual transmission is returning 26 / 38 mpg in city / highway, as the EPA has announced.
