The future generation of the Kia Pro Cee’d will hit the market in early 2013 and the model will enter production in Slovakia, at the Zilina plant, in the following months.
After the new generation of the Kia Cee’d hatchback and Sportwagon were officially presented to the public just a few months ago, the three-door version of the model, the Pro Cee’d, has been left into the shadows until now, but the South Korean based automaker has recently announced that the vehicle will enter production in early 2013. At the end of the press release on the Kia Cee’d Sportwagon, the car manufacturer said that the three-door version will start production at the Zilina plant, in Slovakia.
According to the car manufacturer, the new generation of the Kia Pro Cee’d will hit the market right after it will enter production, in early 2013. The all-new Kia Pro Cee’d will use the same platform as the regular Cee’d, which is also shared by the i30 model made by Hyundai, but the body style will be different. Engine options on the Pro Cee’d will definitely include the 1.4 and the 1.6 liter units and rumors are saying that a high performance version of the model will also hit the market, which is expected to use a 1.6 liter turbo GDI with 200 HP. More details on the new Kia Pro Cee’d will be announced over the following months.
