Kia’s midsize SUV, the Sorento, is getting ready to receive a new generation as the model in question has been spotted by our spy photographers.
One of the most important models in the South Korean based automaker’s lineup, the Sorento, is now getting ready to receive a mid-life cycle upgrade. The vehicle in question, seen in the spy photos posted below, is wearing some heavy camouflage throughout its body which is making us believe that changes applied will be significant and they should be enough to put some distance between it and the current version.
The 2015 Kia Sorento is rumored to grow in size compared to the outgoing model and it will be a few centimeters longer, riding on an increased wheelbase too. More space in the cabin will be mostly appreciated by the rear passengers, who will benefit from the additional legroom. As far as the engine lineup goes, the popular SUV is said to get the 2.4 liter GDi, along with the 3.3 liter V6 GDi. A hybrid version is not ruled out either, but this yet has to be confirmed. More details on the next generation of the Kia Sorento are limited for the moment and will be announced over the following months.
