The next generation of the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG is expected to get approximately 500 HP from its engine.
Not a day goes by without the new Mercedes-Benz C-Class generation popping up into our news and the most recent example is including the model’s top of the line version and one of the most awaited ones, the new C63 AMG. According to a new rumor, the upcoming Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG is expected to pack approximately 600 HP from its engine. The announcement hasn’t been made officially but it was hinted by the AMG CEO, Tobias Moers, who has recently spoken to Motoring.
The switch to smaller turbocharged engines is “part of the strategic discussion for the future, because downsizing is not a Mercedes-Benz or AMG thing, but it’s facing everybody in the automotive industry. The time is over for naturally-aspirated engines. If you look for fuel-efficiency and power output and torque output and you have to combine all the targets, the result is clear what you have to do for the future”, said Moers.
The successor of the outgoing Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG is expected to be “ok” with 485-500 HP (356-367 kW) and there is no need for 600 HP, as the company’s CEO hinted. Additional details on the upcoming Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG are limited for the moment and will probably be announced over the following months.
