The first details of the new Mitsubishi Evo generation have just made their way onto the web and the model is expected to be lunched sometimes next year.
The Japanese based automaker Mitsubishi is currently trying to keep the next generation of the Evo a secret for the moment but as we all know, in this industry secrets always surface when you’re least expecting it. This is the same case with the new Evo generation, which is said to become a hybrid. This will be an important step for Mitsubishi and its popular “rally” car because the same technology might be applied by the competition at Subaru too.
The new Mitsubishi Evo should pack a gasoline electric version derived from the MiEV Evolution II Pikes Peak and the model is said to be in the works already. The internal combustion engine and the electric motor, along with probably a lithium-ion battery pack, will send approximately 500 HP (373 kW) to the ground through an improved all-wheel drive version. The styling of the car is said to be influenced by the 2008 Concept-RA. The 2015 Mitsubishi Evo is expected to make its way onto the market sometimes next year. More details on the model remain unknown for the moment.
