The Japanese based automaker Nissan is planning to offer the next generation of the GT-R with a hybrid powertrain.
The Nissan GT-R is probably one of the most iconic cars of the century thanks to its supercar performance and “not so supercar” starting price. The carmaker is constantly upgrading the model and each year the GT-R is becoming stronger and faster, but eventually its design will have a last word to say and Nissan will pull the plug on it. When this will happen, the car manufacturer will have already started developing a new generation of the model and rumors are saying that the future GT-R will be radically different.
According to the guys at Motor Trend, the next generation of the Nissan GT-R will probably come as a hybrid and the Japanese based automaker will also fit the model with fuel saving technologies such as the stop/start system or the cylinder deactivation. The next Nissan GT-R is also expected to lose some weight on the way. Unfortunately we don’t have any more details on the future generation of the Nissan GT-R and the car manufacturer will probably announce some performance figures probably close to its debut.
