A couple of renderings with the next generation of the Nissan Juke have hit the web recently and they are showing us how the model may look like once it will be ready for its future customers.
Nissan has managed to open a new segment, that for subcompact crossovers, with its Juke, and, since its introduction, a lot of competitors have developed their very own versions. These include the Ford EcoSport, the Chevrolet Trax, the Opel Mokka, the Renault Captur, the Peugeot 2008, the Mazda CX-3 and so on. But now, while these vehicles are currently in their first generations, Nissan is getting ready to take things to a whole new level with the Juke by preparing its successor.
The two images posted below are nothing more than simple renderings at this point, which have been signed by RM Car Design, and they are trying to offer us a first preview into the next generation of the crossover. The photos posted below have been based on the Nissan Kicks Concept, shown last year in Brazil, but rumor has it that the next-gen Juke will be getting design cues from the Gripz Concept, unveiled recently, during the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. The second-gen model is expected to ride on the CMF-B platform, which will also be used for the next Micra and Renault Clio, and it should have an engine lineup which will include the 1.5 liter and the 1.6 liter units, along with probably the 3.8 liter twin turbo in the Juke-R. The 1.5 dCi made by Renault will continue to be offered.
