The first details on the engine lineup for the next generation of the Nissan Qashqai have recently surfaced.
The announcement might not have been made in an official way but the British media has managed to obtain the information on the 2015 Nissan Qashqai’s engine lineup. According to the guys at Autocar, the new generation of the crossover will get a 1.2 liter turbocharged engine under its hood, which will have four cylinders and 113 HP (84 kW), sent to the front wheels. This will be the only gasoline choice available for the model, at start.
The 2015 Nissan Qashqai will also get a 1.5 liter dCi diesel engine, which should be good for 108 HP (80 kW), along with the popular 1.6 dCi, generating 128 HP (95 kW). There is no report on the current 2.0 liter diesel unit, so this will probably be dropped from the lineup. The Qashqai +2 will not see daylight as the Japanese based automaker has the new-gen X-Trail to do the job. As for the trim levels, they will include the Visia, Visia + Safety Pack, Acenta, Acenta Premium and the Tekna. AWD will be available as an optional feature.
