The future generation of the Porsche Panamera has been recently spied on the Nurburgring where the model was being tested.
Porsche engineers want to make sure that the new generation of the Porsche Panamera will have enough go-power so the model has been recently tested on the famous German track, the Nurburgring. The model in question is a simple test mule so don’t be fooled by the similar looks to the outgoing version because Porsche has no plans of introducing this model earlier than 2016. The Porsche Panamera prototype in question has some extended wheel arches which were packed with foam and some other minor tweaks.
The 2016 Porsche Panamera is expected to share the body architecture with the third generation of the Bentley Continental and to get an entirely new engine lineup, which will be made from several V6 and V8 petrol and diesel burners. The model in question will also receive a hybrid and a plug-in hybrid variant, along with a powerful turbocharged unit in the Turbo and Turbo S versions. Additional details on the new generation of the Porsche Panamera are limited for the moment and will probably be announced in a few years, close to the model’s public debut.
