Renault will be showcasing the new generation of the Megane at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, in September.
The Renault Megane is getting older and older but even so, it remains a reliable vehicle with customers who are appreciating more than a similar Astra, Focus or Golf, but if you were hoping for a new generation of the compact car, your wish has been granted, because the French based automaker has it prepared and just around the corner for you. According to a recent report, the model in question will be officially presented to the public during the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, this September. The announcement has been made by the Corporate Design senior vice president, Laurens Van Den Acker, who has recently spoken to IndianAutosBlog.
According to our source, the Renault official has confirmed the debut of the popular compact car during the German automotive event, which will take place in just a few months. Rumor has it that the new generation of the Renault Megane will be coming with a completely new design as it will be borrowing some of the lines found on the new Clio and Captur. As far as the platform goes, this will be riding on the CMF, which is also used on the Nissan Pulsar. The engine lineup will be made, most likely, from the four-cylinder petrol and diesel burners, and chances are we will see an updated version of that nice EDC. Additional details on the model are limited at this time.
