Next-gen Renault Megane looks real in new rendering image

It may be just around the corner but the truth is that no one outside the company knows what it will look like at this time.

We’re talking about the fourth generation of the Renault Megane which has been caught on camera while being tested out numerous times over these past few months and with a lot of famous rivals in an extremely competitive segment, which includes the Opel Astra K, the Volkswagen Golf VII or the Ford Focus, amongst others, it will need to be extremely good in order to become a viable choice. And Renault is planning to do just that as the upcoming Megane generation should be better than ever.

The image posted above may look like the real deal but it is nothing more than a simple rendering which has been signed by IAB. We can notice the resemblance to its smaller brother, the Clio, but in a toned down design. There is a new front grille flanked by the more slender headlights, a new front bumper and a bulging hood. Chances are the final design of the car will look quite different when it will be officially presented to the public at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, this September, but we will have to wait and see what it will look like exactly. Rumor has it that it will borrow some lines from the Espace too and it will make use of the CMF platform, co-developed with Nissan. The engine lineup should include the 1.2l and 1.6l turbo gasoline burners, along with a revised 1.5 dCi and a 1.6 dCi, amongst others.
