The first rendering with the new generation of the Skoda Fabia has recently hit the web and it might provide us with a first look into the final production version of the model.
The next generation of the Skoda Fabia is just around the corner considering the fact that the Czech based automaker has upgraded almost its entire lineup and it has also launched a brand new model, the Rapid, in two body styles, sedan and Spaceback. The 2015 Skoda Rapid is believed to make its way onto the market sometimes next year and it should get a new front fascia similar to the one found on the new Rapid.
The 2015 Skoda Fabia will not ride on the MQB platform as this is not ready for the Fabia, the Ibiza or the Polo-sized vehicles, and the model will be based on the PQ25 platform, the same one used on the Polo. The interior design of the model will be completely different but its size is expected to remain the same, because an upgrade here would mean that no one will buy the Rapid anymore. The engine lineup will be updated too and new units will make their way onto the model. More details on the new Skoda Fabia are limited for the moment.
