Volkswagen will be officially presenting the next generation of the Tiguan during the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, his autumn.
The Volkswagen Tiguan is getting ready to be replaced but if you were hoping to place a deposit sometimes this summer, you will be disappointed because the German based automaker is believed to officially pull the wraps off its body in September, during the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, which means that it will probably go on sale in either the fourth quarter of this year or even in 2016.
The announcement hasn’t been made official just yet, but according to a recent report, published by the guys from Auto Motor und Sport, the 2016 Volkswagen Tiguan will be a completely new vehicle compared to the current one. The model will be riding on the MQB platform, which is also used on several vehicles coming from the Volkswagen Group, and it will get a more aggressive looks, with a 3-door body style, a 5-door coupe and even a long wheelbase version coming in.
Our source is also stating that the engine lineup from the new Tiguan generation will be carried over from the Golf 7 and this means that we are expecting a lot of technologies and safety gizmos from the popular hatchback too. Volkswagen hasn’t confirmed an official unveil date for the 2016 Tiguan at this time and this is all we have got on it so far but chances are that it will be unveiled over the web a couple of weeks before the Frankfurt debut.
