The 2013 Ford Focus has managed to earn a 5-star safety rating in the latest crash tests conducted by the NHTSA over-seas.
Good news for those of you who own the 2013 Ford Focus because the model has been recently named one of the most safe cars in the segment after managing to score a five-star safety rating during the latest crash tests conducted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). The results received by the 2013 Ford Focus are expected to be transferred to the real world too and this means that the model will be a safe car in everyday use.
Just like the Chevrolet Cruze, the 2013 Ford Focus is a global car and the carmaker had to engineer its body structure and occupant protection for a wide range of crash and loading possibilities, not just for those applied by the NHTSA. The 2013 Ford Focus has received a four-star rating in front impact, a five-star rating for male-size driver and four stars for a female-sized passenger. In the side impact, the model managed to score five stars. Videos with the crash tests can be seen below.
