The Japanese based automaker Nissan has recently announced that a surprise model will be officially presented at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show next month.
Nissan says that besides the e-N200, the Juke Nismo and the Invitation concept, a surprise model will also make its way to the Geneva Motor Show, and the main purpose is to expand the electric vehicles range, with the new e-NV200 being part of this scheme. Even if Nissan has officially announced that a surprise model will hit this year’s Geneva Motor Show, we don’t have a clue of what that vehicle will be and we don’t even know if it will be a concept car or a production version.
The Nissan e-NV200 will represent the company’s future electric vehicle and just as its names says, it’s based on the current NV200. The model has been chosen as the basis for the new cab generation used in New York and the NV200 is currently being sold in two body versions, the Combi and the Ealia, with the second one being a family vehicle with seven seats. The Invitation Concept has been previewed by Nissan not too long ago and it will underpin a production version which is expected to be launched in Europe in 2013, in the same B-segment as other models within the company.
