The Japanese based automaker Nissan has recently pulled the wraps off its latest creation, the Almera Nismo Performance Concept, at the Super GT International Series in Malaysia.
Nissan is already rumored to develop two new Nismo models, a GT-R Nismo and a Juke Nismo RS, so unveiling the Almera Nismo Performance Concept came as a big surprise. The model is actually previewing a future production model and it’s coming with an aerodynamic body kit, highlighted by the front lip spoiler, the new side skirts, the trunk mounted spoiler and the rear diffuser.
“We are glad to have our Nismo brand in Nissan’s mainstream models as it offers something special in terms of advanced motorsports technology, dynamic performance capabilities, and distinctively sporty design that is embodied in Nismo, Nissan’s motorsports, performance and personalization brand”, said the Nismo President, Shoichi Miyatani.
The Nissan Almera Nismo Performance Concept has been also fitted with a sports suspension system, with a Nismo exhaust system and with a fresh set of 17-inch alloy wheels. Power is being provided by a 102 HP (75 kW) and 102 lb-ft of torque (139 Nm) 1.5 liter four-cylinder engine. The final production version might get a more powerful engine under its hood.
