Recently Nissan made several announcements among which the fact that it plans to extensively expand in Russia.
This announcement demonstrates the company’s long term commitment to Russia and Nissan’s plans to continue the expansion within the market. Until 2016 Nissan is targeting 10% share of the rapid-growing market in Russia, an increase of 5.9% from today. This target will be achieved by tripling annual sales from 161,000 units in 2011.

Nissan also plans to invest 167 million euro to buy 50,000 square meters of new production facilities, such as Plastics and Press Shops. After capacity will be increased to 10,000 units, the plant will manufacture five different models at the same time, among which the next generation Qashqai.
