Nissan has recently announced that the Bolt GT-R auction has ended and the one-off sports car has been sold for 187, 100 USD.
According to the Japanese based automaker, the Nissan Bolt GT-R has been sold for 187,100 USD after an online charity auction organized on eBay which has ended earlier this month. The one-off Nissan Bolt GT-R has been sold to an Australian bidder who has paid a total of 187,100 USD but the total funds raised reached 193,191 USD. The rest of 6,091 USD were obtained from selling racing helmets, driving suits and boots, along with other Bold merchandise.
The Nissan Bolt GT-R is based on the 2014 model year GT-R and it’s coming with a gold paint and interior trim, along with gold plate embossed with Usain Bolt’s signature and his autograph. The sports car will be delivered in March, 2013, and it will be manufactured to the performance specifications conforming to regulations in the winning bidder’s country of residence, as the carmaker is saying. The world’s fastest man and Nissan will use the funds raised in order to help the Jamaican children through the Bolt Foundation.
