Nissan is considering the launch of the outgoing Qashqai generation in India, where the model might arrive by the end of the year or in early 2014.
The Japanese based automaker Nissan is already working on its very own version of the Dacia Duster / Renault Duster, the so-called Terrano, which will make its public debut in India this month. But besides the new Nissan Terrano, the carmaker is also planning to introduce the current Qashqai generation into the market, which will sit above the Duster-based low-cost SUV. The announcement hasn’t been made official just yet but it was hinted by the company’s executive vice president, Andy Palmer.
As a quick reminder, the current Nissan Qashqai has been around for quite a few years and it also received a facelift. The model in question is getting ready for a new generation which is said to make its public debut, on the Old Continent, sometimes next year. The model has been spied numerous times and it’s said to be based on a whole new platform and to be inspired by the Invitation Concept. Additional details on the subject remain unknown for the moment.
